I'm very proud I was able to create something meaningful, some might even call it a "product", out of a piece of scrap wood! Recycling is amazing and it brings life to something we commonly throw away.
This clock is made from a recycled cherry wood, finished with all natural non-toxic oils.
The clock looks pretty stylish and minimal - it does not have any numbers or colors. It's matt finish and simplified NOT FABRIK logo would definitely fit anywhere. It's made to be used as a wall clock. I've used a sweep quartz mechanism, which means it won't bother you with all that ticking - the arrows run smoothly.
The base is made of solid cherry wood, finished with all all natural oils including carnauba wax, bees wax, seed oil and coconut oil.
The clock itself is a regular Quartz sweep movement mechanism (non ticking), powered by a single standard AA battery.
The logo is made of soft fabric.
The wooden base has a measurements of:
Width: ~14 cm (5.5inch)
Height: ~30 cm (12 inch)
Thickness: ~2 cm (< 1 inch)
Total weight: about 200 grams (7 oz)
Arrows are a bit lager than the base, adding additional 3 cm (1.2 inches) on both sides and top, which means the total dimensions are 20cm width, 33cm height.
The clock is finished with all natural oils, which include carnauba wax. What that means is that the wood is sealed and won't soak any dirt. You can simply wipe it out with a soft and dry cloth or a feather duster. Vacuuming is not recommended because of the quartz mechanism and the arrows.
Changing the single AA battery is pretty straightforward - you have direct access to it from the back side of the clock. No tools needed, and there are labels for the battery direction.
